1. Introduction

When looking at all the Comparisons, each is shown with four statuses.

2. Finalised.

When editing a Comparison, you can set it to 'Finalised' using the slider at the top of the screen.

This will prevent any changes being made to the Comparison and indicates that changes should not be made.

When the Finalised column has a tick, then the Comparison is Finalised.

When the Finalised column has no tick, then the Comparison is Active and can be changed.

3. Compare Rationale.

There is a global setting that affects this status.

The status will be green:

If ‘Must provide references to evidence’
No, is selected then always green.

Warn is selected and Comparison has a completed ‘References’ field.

Prevent Saving is selected and Comparison has a completed ‘References’ field.

The status will be amber:

If ‘Must provide references to evidence’
Warn is selected and Comparison has an empty ‘References’ field.

Edit the Comparison and complete this field to turn green.

The status will be red:

If ‘Must provide references to evidence’
Prevent Saving is selected and Comparison has an empty ‘References’ field.

Edit the Comparison and complete this field to turn green.

4. Benefit Rationale.

There is a global setting that affects this status.

Percentage

A percentage is shown of the number of Benefits that need a Rationale and have a Rationale completed.

A Benefit needs rationale text added when at least one of its measures needs a ranking.

100% means that the user has added Rationale text for all Benefits that need a Rationale.

Before any ranking is done on the comparison, all Rationale fields will be blank, and so this will be 0%.

The status will be green:

If ‘Must add Rationale to all scored Benefits ’
No, is selected, then always green.

Warn is selected and percentage = 100%.

Prevent Saving is selected and and percentage = 100%.

The status will be amber:

If ‘Must provide references to evidence’
Warn is selected and percentage and percentage is not 100%.

Select 'Rank' for the Comparison and complete all the Benefit Rationale fields that are highlighted green. This will turn the percentage = 100% and the Status green.

The status will be red:

If ‘Must provide references to evidence’
Prevent Saving is selected and percentage is not 100%.

Select 'Rank' for the Comparison and complete all the Benefit Rationale fields that are highlighted green. This will turn the percentage = 100% and the Status green.

Note: On the ranking screen, this setting is used to review the Benefit and show how 'Complete' the details are for a comparison.
