ALPHA RELEASE: FEATURE INCOMPLETE - SELECTIVE TESTING
A. Introduction
A Comparison represents two Options compared together. It enables differences between the benefits of two Options to be identified. The first Option can be the 'base case' that an alternative is being compared against.
One Comparison is created for each Assessment, with the two Options:
- 'Basecase'. This typically represents the Option that has already been approved or is the one you want to compare other alternative options against.
- 'Alternative 1'. This represents an alternative Option for comparison.
This default Comparison can be changed, for example, select different Options, and rename as required.
Actions available from the Comparison screen are:
- Create a new Comparison: select the '+New Comparison' button.
- Edit a Comparison: right-click on a Comparison and select 'Edit'.
- Rank the differences between the two Options selected: right-click and select 'Ranking'.
For new Comparisons, enter the following information.
New Comparison
From the Options screen, select +New Comparison.
- Title: Give your Comparison a unique name.
- Short Description: To help others understand the Comparison.
Select 'Save'.
A warning will be shown if any of the mandatory* fields have not been completed.
The Comparison will now be listed on the Comparisons screen.
This can be edited by right-clicking on a Comparison and selecting 'Edit'.
Change a Comparison - Edit
One Comparison is automatically available with the following Options:
- 'Basecase'. This typically represents the Option that has already been approved or is the one you want to compare other alternative options against.
- 'Alternative'. This represents an alternative Option for comparison.
You can change the Options for any Comparison by editing the Comparison - right-click on a Comparison and select 'Edit'.
The Title, Description, ID and Rationale for a Comparison can be also changed.
* Settings can be changed to make certain fields mandatory for a Comparison. When creating a new Comparison, the mandatory fields are shown. For example:
- Title, must not be blank
- Option One must have an Option Selected,
- Option Two must have an Option Selected,
- Rationale. This is if the Setting 'Must provide references to evidence' has 'Prevent saving' selected.
** These may be given alternative names, depending on your use of Wovex. Managers and Administrators can edit these by selecting the 'cog' on the top-right of the Comparison Edit screen. Then, select 'translations'.
